After completing her studies at Yale, Kari pursued interior design with the belief that a focused stylistic vision cultivates more inviting spaces than a muddle of discrete details.

Your home shapes your life. Sometimes it’s obvious — an open floor plan will make your home more spacious. But more often than not, our homes affect us in ways we’re not aware of — a lighter wall color can help a room feel bigger, and crown molding can lend charm and character, making a house feel like a home.
Our Family's Approach to Homebuilding
After more than 60 years and hundreds of thousands of homes, you can start to think like a manufacturer: check the boxes, add granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, then slap on a price tag and walk away. But we’re not making toasters or generators — we’re building homes. And we are obsessed with building them so that they shape your life positively, which means focusing on small details just as much as large structural decisions. It’s not enough to just add lights to a room. You must also consider small but important details like the color of the light — warm light is better for relaxing, cool light for concentrating.

The Difference is in the Details
There's no one right answer to making a space feel good. It's the collection of a million small details that, when working together, add up to create a feeling — much like how individual music notes string together to make a song. In the past, we asked our customers to decide on all those details themselves, but sifting through thousands of options is a daunting task. Too often, families were left unsatisfied with a mishmash of opposing styles.
We decided to simplify the process. Instead of over 5000 small choices, we offer just a few more of the very best ones. We've spent two years sourcing materials and handpicking designs, and more than a few rolls of tracing paper later, we finally feel like we have something worth sharing. We hope you have as many good times in your home as we had designing them.

This modern take on a classic farmhouse sink combines spacious ease with minimalist style. Heat resistant, stainless steel makes the 10"-deep bowl durable and easy to maintain.

This steel grey granite is sourced from a quarry in India and crafted into sleek, 3 cm-thick countertop.

The exquisitely fabricated ROHL artisan Bridge Faucet reflects the craftsmanship unifying the Farmhouse look. This design is part of the ROHL San Julio Series, which celebrates the romantic charm of Italian country homes.
The Kohler apron-front kitchen sink encapsulates the Farmhouse look with its broad, familiar lines and comfortable design. The deep basin easily fits large items, while sturdy enameled cast iron adds practical charm.

The Classic kitchen is inspired by Edwardian England. Detailed cabinet molding lends stately elegance, while glass upper doors allow favorite items to be put on display.
The generously sized, freestanding chef's hood is a welcoming addition to the Classic kitchen. Its crown molding and intricate casing complement the stacked cabinets.
Hexagonal glazed ceramic tiles showcase a traditional style with contemporary proportions. The stylized pattern makes for a refined but eye-catching backsplash.
The Kohler apron-front kitchen sink has broad, gently curved lines that help the space feel fresh and open. The deep basin easily fits large items, while sturdy enameled cast iron adds practical beauty.
We chose this ROHL kitchen faucet for its understated, timeless elegance. It is made in Great Britain and inspired by 1800s decorative plumbing -- with some modern updates. The cross handles, for instance, are a contemporary addition to the historically rich design.
Quartz countertops are even more sturdy than granite or marble but still have a beautiful finish. The material is also naturally nonporous and stain resistant, so no sealing is required.
